Wish you were here

Road trip

San Diego’s pretty. Like Perth.

It’s got quaint streets, a lovely harbour, and nice people. We’ve been here two days and although we’re being kept busy with work, it’s a great place to be in, and we’re trying to have as much fun as possible.

The Comicon’s opening tomorrow, but we’ll be seeing a bit of what they have to offer tonight at the preview. Apparently, there’s a Star Wars day on Friday, and mr brown’s so excited about it he almost wet his pants. (He’ll also get worked up a little when he wakes up and reads this post).

There’s going to be a lot to do today, but of course, we’ll be podcasting from wherever we are, recording and photographing anything interesting we see. You can also take a look at the photos we’ve taken here and here.

You know what? Here in Mongolia, where I work, there is actually a place called BD’ Mongolian BBq which describes exactly what you ate. Check it out here :- http://the-reflector.com/?p=1104

    Have fun.

[…] The MrBrownShow, a Singaporian Podcast show has gone to the USA, and they ate the Great Khan Mongolian Noodles. Funny thing is, that it actually sounds exactly like the BD’s Mongolian BBq. I wonder if its the same company who started it. They are right that allot of the ingredient’s aren’t Mongolian at all. In fact Mongolian’s don’t even eat much noodles. Most of the Mongolian meals I have had is always meats and bread, sometimes with rice, other times with ManTao. Perhaps its a Mongolian concept that incorporated foods of other countries as most traditional food here is Meat (either beef or lamb), with patatoes and carrots. Its either cooked in a pot which is easy for nomadic people to do, or its BBqed over a fire. They don’t use much spices in thier cooking, so the taste is usually quite meaty. Anyhoo, its good exposure for the beautiful land of Mongolia! I have lived here for 8 months already!! Seen all four seasons, and I must say, Its the best posting I ever had. […]

San Diego Zoo is one of the best zoos in the world! If you have some extra time to spare, make sure you pay the zoo a visit. I took a cruise before and if you are into those huge battleships or aircraft carriers due to the strong presence of the Naval Base there, it’s worth taking the cruise at the San Diego Harbour and enjoy the nice panaromic view of the San Diego skyline.
