What were the tech specs of the CommunicAsia video:
What camera + external mic
assume you used a Mac for edit (iMovie/Premier??)
Saved as Flash or MP4 -
Baiscally what was the compromise trade-off in quality vs speed/bandwidth.

Stuart: camera was an old Panasonic NV-GS7 DV-cam, mic was an AT-897 shotgun with a Sennheiser EW-100 wireless system that comes with an SKP100 G2 plug on transmitter for use with handheld dynamic mics (or condensers that can use batteries).
Editing was done in Final Cut Pro (though iMovie would do too). Saved as MP4 and then uploaded to Youtube.
MP4 video size averages around 25mb and if we make it FLV (which is what Youtube uses) it is about half that.
Youtube FLV size is probably what most people can accept for size, but you do lose some image quality. Which is why we give our viewers the option of downloading the higher-res MP4 version.
