but did I get the slogan correct?
“Don’t ngeow, buay keow”
= “Don’t stinge (on medicine), (you) won’t die”?
As in “see keow keow” (die utterly)?

Interesting that you should make an episode on patients who cannot afford their medications.
Patient’s who default medications are a major headache i face in everyday work as a doc
Yes they often complain they cannot afford medicaitons ~ some of them $3-4/ day for things like heart attack, but most of those who complain still smoke up to 2 -3 pack / day easily ~ $20 / day
So the complaint should be more accurately “I can’t afford my medication ( and still smoke)”
Now if you can make that in to an episode…

It’s very often a question of priority. Can afford to spend hours watching soap operas. No time to exercise.
