ROFL! I call PUB they never call me back!
July 12th, 2010 at 6:00 pm
Lyrics to The Wave Song:
Oooooooooooooh woooooooooohh hohoho
Oooooooooooooh woooooooooohh hohoho
Blame your mother, blame your father, blame the season, blame the Maker
See the waters, down in Orchard, Lucky Plaza, basement flooded
We have a big longkang, our drains should to be Number One
But when the freak rain come
In the end we still lan lan
So we say
When I eat horfun, I saw the rain come
I call PUB, they never call me back
I think they damn slack
I think they damn slack
I think they damn slack
I think they damn
When I drink Horlick, I saw the rain come
I call PUB, they never call me back
My car in void deck
I can’t find my cat
My underwear wet
And there it goes
Oooooooooooooh woooooooooohh hohoho
Oooooooooooooh woooooooooohh hohoho
Say it’s garbage, say it’s blockage, say it’s bad luck, that drain got stuck
PM say don’t, unrealistic, Singapore can’t, be zero flood
Time to buy sampan, don’t park in Basement One
And when the freak rain come
Why this song so Cheena one?
So we say
When I eat horfun, I saw the rain come
I call PUB, they never call me back
I think they damn slack
I think they damn slack
I think they damn slack
I think they damn
When I eat chee cheong fun, I saw the rain come
I call PUB, they never call me back
My car in void deck
I can’t find my cat
My underwear wet
And there it goes
Oooooooooooooh woooooooooohh hohoho
P.S. To mrbrown, please do your own version of this year’s NDP theme song like what you did to the 2009 NDP theme song (Lekuasimi) with your own lyrics and put it up on this site. Thanks.

Funny work of the floods in Orchard, I want to see more of ur brilliance siah!!!
July 13th, 2010 at 8:25 pm
The name of this song should be “Wavy Flood” - semblance to the original song “Waving Flags” by K’naan
July 14th, 2010 at 10:23 am
THE RISE OF MR BROWN SHOW! epic la! must have a mtv to go along, pls include the uncle that swim in orchard road =D my colleagues are all rising up their hands waving to the song, haha
July 15th, 2010 at 8:57 am
God forbid if they start a new COE category for sampans and then force us to install IUs to insert cashcard when we row through the gantries.
July 15th, 2010 at 10:21 pm
Great Song !!
July 16th, 2010 at 12:04 pm
My favourite line:
“We have a big longkang, our drains should to be Number One”
July 17th, 2010 at 1:14 pm
Well said or should i say sung =D
LOL
and JayWalk’s comment about COE for sampans!!! HILARIOUS!
This song should be like the hit song and top the charts… ooo imagine harvey norman and best denki at parkway playing the music video on ALL their huge tv screens instead of the korean girl band song nobody…
It would be AWESOME!!!
(ah… one can dream aye? LOL)_

Have fun

Ok any link to download?
July 18th, 2010 at 3:22 pm
it took 30 to 40 years to build drainages to send rain & flood to the sea! last year Marina Barrage reservoir Dam open, does PUB take another 30 to 40 yrs to learn how to operate the Dam for keeping water at safe level? or is it just another world class show piece that has no function? may be thats why swimming lesson is compulsory in school now?

i am now living in a 2nd tier city in china. whenever it rains, the city will be in chaos. i was so proud of the world class drainage system in Singapore and started to tell the locals they should learn from Singapore. little do i know our dear country is in such a terrible state. How sad! i’d better hide myself under the water!
