Our leeeeder’s son name also kena protected by our friendly neighbour ha?? HE wanted to name him Hong Kan but the VERY NEIGHBOURLY ABANG said, “Ah Lee! Next time your son take over you, you don’t want our side’s diplomats to laugh at him right?”

So, Our Dear Leeeeeeeder’s son name become Hong Li…..

But it seems like the peasants are already used to (and LOVE to) calling him Hong Kan. We have alot of patriotic peasants who will rise to the challenge of our flendly neighbour ah!

    Bro wildbluefox,
What a coincident. I knew of two old Hainanese brothers by the name of Foo Ki Duan and Foo Ki Meng. They didn’t know their parents gave them COOL name too! But they had sad encounters. Both of them went to for a job interview with an English officer and his wife somewhere in Tanglin (that happened years back during the British colonial time). The angmoh soldier threw them out of the house…..why?

Well, most probably the angmoh heard “Puki Tuan! Puki Mam!” when he asked for the names of the brothers.

    Cheers!

  31. Harold Fock Says:

    Hi Brayden,
Harold Fock is very much alive but just older these days. I am running a listed company based in Asia and spending a lot of time out of Singapore. Need to pay my bills :-)

As for the crusader tag, I wish I really worked that hard and were that noble haha. Having said that, the internet at its infancy stage was truly exciting and no one could imagine how it would evolve. I truly missed those batman hours. In fact, our little start-up with my Internet team grew into a tiny business and we are now selling our products overseas and we still work, scam, eat, golf and talk cock daily together so the Net has been kind to me. Friends like that are hard to find these days.

If you truly miss my crap postings (just kidding), do check out my new blog at www.beyondsg.typepad.com

    Cheers!

    Harold Fock
