    I think the mussels used for bio-remediation one…

    Specially placed there as cheap means to clear up heavy metals and PCBs from the bay.

    Hence the warning sign loh. Not so much to deter mussel eaters, but to prevent lawsuit later for heavy metal dosing. :p

    But then, might be wrong.
