Road Trip: San Francisco Day 2 - Mission St

After our lunch with the guys at Podtech, we went to Fisherman’s Wharf which was teeming with tourists and expensive seafood, street performers.

We met up with Carl Parkes, aka Friskodude who lived in SF for 30 years. Carl brought us to City Hall for a photoraphy event and the best Taco place in San Francisco. It is near Valencia and 16th, and is a hive of activity. The line moves fast because of the efficient crew there. And you can load up on the condiments too. I just cannot understand how someone can finish a burrito though.

Though we were told to avoid Mission St, there are pockets of cool shops around there where the young and trendy go now. Valencia and 16th is one such place. There are quaint food places and fashion shops, and the place is just full of character. It is a place only locals go to, not tourists, and it was a nice change from the touristy places we go to so often.

And it was just nice to meet up with bloggers from around the world, like Carl. Carl is a travel writer and was recently out of action for a while. He was a great host and knew just about everything about San Francisco, plus much of South East Asia. It was a pleasure to meet an online friend face to face, finally.
