    Hello mrbrown.

Just listened to the restored file, thanks for the effort!

I recognize that arrogant, scolding tone.
The type that’s followed by more punitive measures, because we’re unworthy & deserve what’s coming.
It is the same tone used by abusive people to justify their sub-par behaviour.
That type stereotypically associated with the stereotypical elite.
And “Watch out! Our women will become foreign maids! …”

But we’ve seen history repeat itself too many times:
    Hubris comes before disastrous fall.

Hey, that tone doesn’t come come cheap! You can’t get better tones elsewhere in the world, not even USA.

Overcrowding in the trains. Maybe can place ERP gantries in the train tunnel and will be activated during peak hours. This will discourage commuters from not organising their working hours properly.

  11. Ed Says:

    Hi Mr. Brown,

Still face same problem with the file.

  12. Whyme Says:

Sometimes, I wonder what is our Transport Commission doing apart from getting more monies from ERP and road tax and coe.

You see, under the Public Transport Charter in UK, there is a rule on the number of minutes that essential services of buses and trains has to run. For eg. Which Magazine in UK can logged a complaint against London underground if they increase their fare via indirect means by say increasing the number of minutes between trains. As for buses, to reduce the number of stops in each zone.

But sincerely, I have yet to see what our minister of transport is doing. In some mornings, train takes up to even 8 minutes during morning peak hours. additionally, why do MRT have to schedule their trains to visit a terminal for servicing especially during peak hours so as to force everyone out and then cramping into the next already crowded train.

No one have ever question LTA or MRTC for this. But I am sure that anyone with some degree of intelligence would have notice that this is definitely an indirect measure of price increase and they should be penalty by S$100,o00 for each of this occurance.

i think our transport system is doing a fabulous job! Just the other day i saw only 3 cockroaches in the bus, only 3!!! that is almost 4 down from the last time i was there. Not only that, there was only 1 old chang kee half eaten curry puff shoved into the corner! If this isn’t progress i don’t know what is. We should not complain so much, it could be OUR women who might one day clean the buses in OUR own country.
