Great song! This will certainly give a boost in the health-care tourism for Johor!
Some parts of JB do have beautiful sceneries, maybe it’s time for them to build a few old folks home there.

LOL….HILARIOUS….Rite song…great lyrics!
U guys should stick to song production!
Your creativity shines stronger in songs than in producing the news, duh.
A few years ago I was told that gahmen building old folks home on the super near Indon islands….too near to us for comfort….Indon is much cheaper than Malaysia, I suppose….this news…not from tv of course… made my blood boil to know that people who are born as Singaporeans, live and work in Singapore for years, should have the right to die in their homeland…..but noooooooo….must go overseas for retirement and to bid sayonara.
So with many ah kongs and ah ma going ‘overseas’ for their old age, how can they die in own homeland?
Why call Singaporeans to come home then? They can go and die elsewhere, leh…create more space in Singapore!!!
Call people to return to their homeland and in their own age they are supposed to ‘migrate’ to a ‘better’ land!!!
The next announcement may be….all graves in Singapore will expire in 8years…park your beloved at your own risk.

That’s the sad part about Singapore Inc. It’s all about costs and money.
We can lose $58billion on failing US banks but cannot spend more to support step-down care in our own country?
Then why did I serve my NS for? To be shipped to another country when I expire even though I spent 2.5 years + 10 years defending it?
It’s really a joke and maybe one day Mindef will allow you to buy your way out of NS if you have enough money. Can hire 20 foreign legionnaires or “elite” Gurkhas to serve on your behalf.
Majullah Singapura.

Been using ‘u can’t touch this (CPF) as my ringtone. Now I’ve got to change it to ’send Ah Kong’ .
Thanks for healing this Ah Kong and keeping him happy.

Terrific, terrific, terrific! One of the very best song spoofs. I love the lyrics and the sheer irony of the original song being the optimistic “Heal the World” when the subject matter is how the cruel gahmen wants to dump people who can’t make any more cash for them in JB.
February 17th, 2009 at 9:42 pm
THANK YOU MR BROWN for making this podcast!
I was SO ANGRY when I read that news. Absolutely ridiculous. The things that come out from some people’s mouth. Don’t they have some form of QC of what to say?

February 18th, 2009 at 1:57 pm
In the army I was told to defend ourselves from our might turn hostile neighbours so I’ve to spend 2 years of my youth defending my home, family and friends. I suffered with faith n pride.
11/2 years after I left army and realise they open the flood gate for new immigrants. They said it was for foreign talents, but I see loads of china men n Indian men squatting outside my neighbourhood during working hours(arent they constuction workers?? I asked 1 of them n he says he came to seek fortune n sells kopi part time..zzzz)
When I was in the UK, Gahmen sent their psycho team to psycho us back to SG, promising us of better future, jobs and goodies. Asked us not to be quitters and come back to work with fellow Singaporeans n continue to defend our home. Came back only to find even more China men n Indians squatting around, aunties scared of gging out at night n mothers telling children to becareful (n my angmo friends still say Singapore is safe… thats 5-6 years ago lor)
After all these crap and came back to work like mad… I have friends at their prime waking up in the middle of the night fearing he might be checked into JB old folks home when he grows old, while I dreaded for being an overage University international student, the overstressed worker and soon might just die in JB old man if I dont earn enough $$ or my children cant keep up with the society.
That whoever in the Gahmen borned in Malaysia… u might be going back to homeland for retirement with huge load of our $$, but we just want to spend my dying dys on our beloved little red dot with our Singaporean love ones.

I dun find this funny at all…russel Peters of Sg…Far from it…not even close…Man! I never knew my fellow Singaporeans so lame…too much Phua Chu Kang I believe…
I understand the slapstick of it…but I just dun find it funny…
Maybe too much actual real comedy that has made me to complex to laugh at slapstick…
I am not saying it is bad…but do not make comparision & embarrass urself with comments like “Russell Peters of Singapore”…it makes u look like u got low standards or low IQ…

Our politicians are very creative. This is so call ‘think outside the box’ by Mr Khaw, bui ta han !
February 25th, 2009 at 2:30 am
Great pick on the tune to match the clever lyrics.
Perhaps Khaw’s family members have business as undertakers,
he will next suggest building a funeral parlour in JB.

This song bring tears to my eyes … I live and work overseas for 8 years now, one of my biggest wish is to die in my homeland Singapore although the country I now reside has a social health care system and ‘no one should live in indignified condition’ is the first in their consitution.
March 1st, 2009 at 7:49 pm
Mandai Crematorium may go bust with the down down turn of going north north to RIP. Ah Kong may be looking in vain for his wife gone before him in wrong country. Salah tempat. Mana sayang gua? ( wrong place, where my darling?)
March 2nd, 2009 at 10:17 pm
the song restored some sanity into our confused cabinet - fit for IMH when they can suggest dumping their own parents overseas for reason of pure costing when they earn thousands of dollars a day…
one day Ah Kong will have his day too like slum dog seniors….oscars
March 3rd, 2009 at 3:14 pm
fantistic good too good to be truth, to leave in JB where there no tax and erp,,to true true true…think about it..

How sadistic it is to know that we should be “shared” the option of living in other than our homelands, and to die in a foreign country.
Grow old and die there.. lol.. did they sign any memorandum of understanding to give them business in JB?
Fantastic idealogy… Time to rethink about being a public servant..
