Actually all these, is a good move to bring in touris but it is too tasking to our citizen’s pocket. Citizens already pays tax. Garmen should use the money wisely and not acting like spoiled children always asking more money from their parent. Alot of parent are still earning $600-1800 but the spoiled child is asking for millions of dollars. Furthermore the spoiled child still asking if their frns from all over the world to stay in and spend more money. I think the child is high in IQ, low in EQ and totally forgetfull abt how the parents have built our lovely home.

The way the citizens are treated by our government is Iconic also mah…
get other place, they increase tax to help the poor?
higher cost of study, housing, medical…to maintain world class standard…then end up some ppl can’t access these basic right as citizens…
somemore they do these, we dun riot…the tourists would be interested in our mind set & how we work…freaky…
we have a weird sociaty, worthy of being iconic, dun need build this & that…

I like the the part on the show that say sg got not enuff space for bigger flat, must cater more space for ICON.

Speaking of the tunnel at the old National Library site really makes my blood boil. Orginally, the government explained that the National Library had to be torn down so as to make way for the new SMU campus. But it turned out that they built a tunnel at that site instead. Tearing down a REAL ICONIC building to build a tunnel. It’s IRONIC & such a joke. It just shows that the government hardly keep its promise.
I felt cheated once again.

Dear countryman, no wori lar, our Garmen had long foreseen tis problem. They had recruited foreign “talents” long, long ago to supersede us who have been drawing smaller and smaller pay (its all about nano these days, including our pay). These “SUPER foreign talents” can draw many times our local w/ the same abilities can; tat’s why they R call “talents” mah! Your pay cut/freeze is nt our Garmen’s fault. It’s the globalization fault but GDP raise is not globalization credit but bcos our Garmen embraced it?!
O, BTW, if U happens 2 be considering leaving Sg bcos of the hardship, then U R not patriotic enough but the foreign “talents” who came here R. Most will jus earn a hefty sum and ba-le-kampong (go bk 2 their country) happily. They R ten times more PATRIOTIC than U R bcos applying 4 Sg citizenship nvr even cross their mind (even though our Ghamen tout they will be entice by the XTRA HIGH PAY)!! However, those who did R still more patriotic, they made a wise decision bcos Sg is a world class country with world class icons build every nw and then. It’s a “wise & loyal decision” 2 lve their god-forsaken homeland. Then why R U not patriotic when foreigners want to be patriotic? Ghamen simply knt understand quitters’ logics.
U all nvr read ST abt why so many foreigners chose Sg as their new home? They all praise Sg up 2 the sky leh. Though its strange they nvr ask the Sg’oreans who chose 2 leave, um, maybe the answer is simply nt patriotic. Then again, why they nvr ask the even vast majority of foreigners who nvr chose Sg (esp, those who nvr consider Sg as an option)? Perhaps, the answer is already obvious enough but then again, isn’t it oso obvious 2 tat any1 who migrate 2 another country is bcos they consider it better than their current ones? Um, it brings 2 the question why ST wld wan 2 runs the article in the first place. Maybe, tk our “corrupted (LOW PAY) minds” is nt talented enough 2 notice tat? Sad, but true & the vast majority of non-quitters will continue 2 be “more corrupted” (SMALLER PAY) while our Ghamen will become “FIRST CLASS” (in pays) & UNCORRUPTED as a result. Shldn’t we be looking fwd 2 it? 3XCheers, Sg!!!
